NTSN football champion to be crowned on September 5
New Delhi: Karnataka, Orissa, Telangana and Maharashtra have been grouped in Pool A of the National Talent Search and Nurture football tournament to be played in the National Capital Region of Delhi from August 27 to September 5. The matches will be held at the Salwan Public School in Delhi and the Delhi Public School in Ghaziabad.
As many as 14 States will take part in the tournament that will conclude the inaugural edition of NTSN football tournament which saw more than 11,000 schoolboys take part in the preliminary rounds. More than 2300 goals have been scored in the tournment, 13 players accounting for 10 goals each.
Pool A: Karnataka, Orissa, Telangana and Maharashtra; Pool B: Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan; Pool C: Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Uttarakhand; Pool D: Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar.
August 27: Karnataka vs Orissa, Telangana vs Maharashtra (Salwan Public School, Delhi); Jharkhand vs Uttar Pradesh; Chhattisgarh vs Rajasthan (Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad).
August 28: Madhya Pradesh vs Haryana; Karnataka vs Telangana (SPS); Jammu and Kashmir vs Andhra Pradesh; Jharkhand vs Chhattisgarh (DPSG).
August 29: Orissa vs Maharashtra; Uttarakhand vs Haryana (SPS); Uttar Pradesh vs Rajasthan; Andhra Pradesh vs Bihar (DPSG).
August 30: Karnataka vs Maharashtra; Orissa vs Telangana (SPS); Jharkhand vs Rajasthan; Uttar Pradesh vs Chhattisgarh (DPSG).
August 31: Madhya Pradesh vs Uttarakhand (SPS); Jammu and Kashmir vs Bihar (DPSG).
September 2: Pool 1 winner v Pool 3 runner-up; Pool 2 winner vs Pool 4 runner-up (SPS); Pool winner vs Pool 1 runner-up; Pool 4 winner vs Pool 2 runner-up (DPSG).
September 3: Winner of QF1 vs Winner of QF2 (SPS); Winner of QF3 vs Winner of QF4 (DPSG).
