SSPF recognized as National Sports Promotion Organization (NSPO) by Govt. of India
23 December 2016: As we all are about to welcome New Year 2017, SSPF is thrilled to share the honor given by Govt. of India for its noble vision & mission to promote school sports at the grassroot level. We are extremely proud to announce that Government of India has now recognized SSPF as a National Sports Promotion Organization [NSPO].
After our expansion from 2 sports to 5 in the coming year 2016-17, this is yet another reason to celebrate our big achievement and motivating us to work for bigger and better. SSPF is the 1st private organization and India’s largest school level grassroot sports program to receive this recognition.
This recognition from Govt. of India will enable the talented and meritorious players from schools to access concessions and admission preferences in universities of their choice. As now SSPF is at par with National Sport Federations in priority category. By becoming NSPO, we can now provide the best chance to participating players the opportunities of becoming national / international level sportspersons and bring glory to the country.
School Sports Promotion Foundation [SSPF] in association with Sports Authority of India, [SAI] launched India’s first and only school level grassroots sports program, National Talent Search & Nurture [NTSN], last year. For this season, apart from cricket & football SSPF has launched volleyball, basketball and athletics (girls & boys) also to help students choose sport of their choice and excel under proper and professional guidance.
